Overall SEO Butler Review
I give SEO Butler 3.5 stars out of 5.
SEO Butler offers a great content writing service. Their signup process is slick, their content quality is good, and there are a variety of different SEO products that the business offers. It’s not the most affordable content writing service, and you might have to wait a while for your content to be delivered. That being said, the content you receive is of high quality, and the service is really easy to use.
My SEO Butler Experience
Although SEO Butler offers a range of different SEO products, I based this SEO Butler review on their content writing service. I ordered a blog post, and I’ll take you through my entire experience with this - from the sign-up process to the quality of the content received.
SEO Butler has a pretty unique system when it comes to ordering content. Ordering content through this site is like buying a product from an eCommerce website. You just add your content to your cart and checkout. It’s really simple.
This system is similar to BKA Content.
To get started, you will need to create a profile first. You just hit Sign Up and fill out your basic details.
And that’s it, your profile is ready. Now you can log in to your dashboard where you will be able to view the status of your projects.
This is also where you will need to add funds if you want to order any content.
SEO Butler offers different pricing options based on the type of content they offer.
They explain their pricing structure in this blog post.
I think it's a great pricing solution. Many content writing services (like Textbroker and iWriter) use tiered systems where you pay different rates for different quality writers. I’ve never really liked that approach because it shows that businesses are okay to send lower-quality content at a cheaper rate. Like Contentellect, with SEO Butler, their quality remains consistent.
Here are the SEO Butler rates:
- Blog content, guest blog content, product descriptions, website content: $0.07/word
- Reviews, buyers guides, and custom content: $0.10/word
- Content that is optimized through Surfer SEO: $0.135/word
And whenever you order more than 5000 words at a time, a 10% discount is automatically applied. This is a nice touch because many people will end up ordering this amount of content for their blog.
Compared to other content writing services, the rates are reasonable. There are definitely cheaper services out there, like iWriter and Constant Content. However, all SEO Butler writers are based in the UK or US, you can request edits and rewrites, and everything they write is sent through Copyscape to avoid plagiarism.
So you should get pretty high-quality content for your money.
I ordered a 1000 word blog post for $70. Was it worth it?
Creating Your Order
Just like signing up with SEO Butler, creating your order is really easy and efficient.
Click “Shop Now” on “Content” to sign up for SEO Butler’s content writing service. This will take you to a page where you choose the type of content that you need.SEO Butler has some good options for their content, including blog posts, website content, reviews, product descriptions, and more. Out of this, there were two content options that stood out to me. These were guest posts, and Surfer optimized content.
I haven’t seen options for these in the other content writing services that I’ve reviewed. This just shows that SEO Butler is clearly focused on SEO. I was tempted to choose the Surfer optimized content (because this is a tool we use at Contentellect), but I decided on a classic blog post instead.
Then you start to create your brief. SEO Butler has a really easy but effective system for this. You first choose your word count and select the important details relating to your blog post, like the title, the writing style you prefer, and your niche. Then you can fill in any additional details and special instructions.
The whole process took less than 5 minutes, and I still managed to put across all of the information I wanted. In fact, this was probably the quickest content ordering system I've reviewed so far.
Then you just add your content to your cart, make sure you add the correct amount of funds into your account and place your order. Creating an order couldn’t have been easier.
SEO Butler usually advertises a turnaround time of 6 days. This is on the slightly longer side of things compared to other services, but I still think it's a fair turnaround time for quality content.
However, as soon as I went to order content, I was faced with a warning about delayed TAT.
At least they’re open and upfront about delays before I placed an order. My 1000 word blog post was delivered after 10 business days (2 weeks). This was definitely one of the longer turnaround times for any content writing service I’ve used, but I was prepared for it, so I can’t complain about the extra 4 days wait.
Ordering content was easy, the pricing was good, but the only thing that really matters is the actual quality of the content.
I ordered a 1000 word article.
Would I Publish This Article?
I thought the article was pretty good!
I chose a conversational tone for a general public target audience, and I felt the blog post covered this perfectly. It was easy to read, the sections were broken down nicely, and the writer explained different insights in a really easy-to-grasp manner.
I made a couple of slight changes to the headings, and I adjusted a few sentences to better match the way that I write. The intro and conclusion were decent, although I did shorten the intro slightly to make it more engaging.
Other than that, I have no complaints about the article I received. I also requested two images and received three, so I was happy about this.
Although SEO Butler offers edits and rewrites, I didn’t require this. Besides a few minor adjustments for my personal taste, I was happy with this blog article.
What Errors Did I Find?
The content was error-free. No grammar or spelling mistakes on Grammarly, the Copyscape score was clean, and the keyword I requested had been used correctly.
It’s clear that SEO Butler's writers are native English speakers. The information was accurate, and everything I had included in my brief was there. Overall, no errors or major concerns.
Everything ran smoothly with my SEO Butler review, so I didn’t require any kind of customer service. The article I received was sent as a doc, and I could leave comments and suggestions for the writer to tend to if I wanted. I didn’t need to do this though.
The sign-up and ordering process was really simple, and I didn’t have any speed bumps along the way. You can contact support pretty easily through your profile on SEO Butler, but this wasn’t necessary for me. I couldn’t find any other feedback on their customer support, so I’ll take this as a good sign.
